That's how royal marriages typically happened: royals married other members of royal houses, sometimes their own first cousins. To put things in perspective, Queen Victoria who was born in the following century married a man who just happened to be her first cousin. What's the likelihood that a black or biracial woman was born into a European royal family and ended up marrying a king? And not just any king.

Mind you, not only did Charlotte have white skin, but she was also the daughter of a DUKE.

The cast members claimed that because Charlotte's facial features in paintings make her appear to be part-black, she was therefore a "black woman". First of all, she lived in the 1700s, and there was no photography at the time. One of the examples given of a supposed "black" historical figure is Queen Charlotte of England (wife of King George III). Perhaps the most ridiculous aspect of this documentary is that the cast members claimed that several famous historical figures were black even though there is no actual proof that any of those figures were black. It sucks to have to find this out on my own because all this time I thought we were all one, but I guess I know better. Third, I love the fact of how they talk about blacks are just called "Afrocentric" or "militant" because they know their history, but when whites know their history they are seen as patriotic which is completely unfair and unjust, but what else is new? Finally, I love the documentary because when I do research on ever single individual they mention, all of the guys exist and have a story on their lifestyles.

Second, I love how this movie sheds light on the truth on Egypt and Africa, I love that because our whole lives through movies and through television we were told a lie of a story. Any real person of truth know you don't just trust what you hear you research it for yourself. Now many people say there isn't a lot of evidence on this movie but that's non- sense for someone to say that because that means this person obviously never did research on the truth. First, the fact that this movie existed and it denounces white supremacy and shows truth. Made over the course of seven years, the documentary features over 25 interviews with surviving Panthers members, FBI informants, journalists, and more.I love this movie for many reasons. PBS' The Black Panthers: Vanguard of the Revolution is the first feature-length documentary to dive deep into the Black Panther Party and how they changed history. WATCH NOW The Black Panthers: Vanguard of the Revolution As with a documentary, this film "allows other people to really be able to step into the challenges of raising black children, with real empathy and personal investment," Washington told The Wrap. Star Kerry Washington told The Wrap: "It allows people, African-American people, to see our selves, to have our experience mirrored and highlighted and affirmed, acknowledged, honored in a way."īased on the Broadway play of the same name, American Son stars Washington as Kendra Ellis-Connor, who along with her estranged husband Scott (Steven Pasquale) is awaiting the answers about missing son at a police station with a cop who can't tell them anything. American Son isn't a documentary per se, but is inspired by events faced by the Black community on a daily basis.
